What's Included in this pack?
Tengu Kendogi - This Kendogi model is made from 100% cotton single-layer Sashiko Ori fabric. The dark blue fabric is non-aizome dyed, helping the colour remain fixed while making the Kendogi easier to care for than the traditional indigo-dyed alternatives. Lightweight and practical, it is an ideal choice for beginners and regular Kendo training.
Tengu Hakama - This model is made from an easy-care polyester-rayon blend. Specially selected for ease of folding and cleaning, it provides a practical option for new Kendoka who want a smart, traditional appearance but without the additional maintenance associated with more demanding fabrics. Finished in dark blue non-aizome dyed fabric, the Tengu Hakama is designed to be simple to care for and suitable for regular training.
Tendo Shinai - The Tendo Shinai is a popular all-purpose bamboo Kendo sword suitable for beginners. Made from durable Keichiku Take, it has been shaped to provide balanced, versatile performance for regular Kendo practice. Available in sizes 28 to 39, each Shinai comes completely assembled and includes a free Tsuba and Dome set, giving beginners the essential tools required to start training.
Brown Stained Oak Daito - A classic wooden practice sword suitable for Kendo Kata training. Measuring approximately 102 cm, it features a traditional Bokken profile and includes a free Tsuba and Dome.
Tetron Shinai Bag - This Bag provides a practical way to carry and store your Shinai and Bokken, featuring a shoulder strap, full lining, and reinforced foot for convenient transport and everyday use. Available in the colour black or blue, it is an important addition for keeping your training equipment together and protected during transport and storage.
Nine Circles Tenugui - The included Nine Circles Tenugui is made from highly absorbent cotton and is ideal for beginners learning how to tie and wear it on their heads as an introduction to the equipment and preparation before progressing to training with Bogu (Kendo armour).

Cross reference your height and weight to see our sizing recommendation. If you are on the edge of a size bracket we typcially advise choosing the smaller of the two size options.

Outside leg measurement from the top of the pelvis at the side, to the external ankle prominence.

If you are between Hakama sizes we would typically advise you to round down to the smaller size to minimise any tripping hazard.

For Shinai for juniors under 12 years, the size is determined by Kendoka size. Measure from the floor to the peak of the armpit crease and match that size as closely to a Shinai size as possible.
