This Kendo Chin Cloth is a simple and practical cotton protector designed to sit inside the chin cup of the Men Uchiwa, providing a comfortable barrier between the chin and the Kendo Men during training.

Made from absorbent cotton, the chin cloth helps absorb sweat and moisture during training, improving comfort while also helping to protect the Men Uchiwa from direct contact with perspiration. By acting as a removable barrier between the practitioner and the equipment, it can help reduce the build-up of sweat and moisture on the Men.

Care Instructions

Wash after regular use to remove sweat and moisture and maintain freshness.
Hand wash or machine wash in cool or lukewarm water.
Use a mild detergent suitable for cotton fabrics.
Do not use bleach or harsh chemical cleaners, as these may damage the cotton fibres.
Air dry naturally after washing. Hang or lay flat to dry.
Avoid prolonged exposure to high heat, which may cause cotton to shrink.
Do not tumble dry at high temperatures.
Make sure the cloth is completely dry before storing it with your Kendo equipment to help prevent unpleasant odours and moisture build-up.
Check the chin cloth regularly for signs of excessive wear or fraying and replace it when necessary.

Important Note

As the chin cloth is designed to absorb sweat and protect the Men Uchiwa from moisture, regular washing is recommended. Always allow both the chin cloth and Kendo Men to dry thoroughly after training before storing them.
