-Natural wood can develop surface wear through regular use. Check the Tanto for cracks, splits, splinters, deep dents or other signs of damage before each training session. Do not use a damaged wooden weapon, particularly during partner practice.
-Wipe away sweat and moisture after training with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving the Tanto in damp conditions, as moisture can affect its condition over time.
-Do not leave the Tanto in direct sunlight, near radiators or inside a hot vehicle. Sudden or prolonged exposure to heat can dry the wood unevenly and contribute to cracking or warping.
-Store it so that the wooden surface is protected from knocks and abrasion.
