High quality Tengu® brand uniform specifically designed for Aikido practice.  This mid weight 500g Gi is the ideal compromise between weight and durability and are a great option for beginners and experts alike.

Features Include:

Upper Fabric - Pure white 500g traditional Sashiko Ori cotton.  The Sashiko fabric reaches 20% further down the Gi when compared to most Judo uniforms which gives the Gi a great look especially when worn with a Hakama.

Lower Fabric - Durable single layer diamond weave Hishizashi material.

Tailored Aikido Sleeves - The traditionally tailored sleeves are the perfect length to subtly expose the wrists for grabbing attacks and are just the right aperture for comfort and style, whilst reducing the risk of accidental snagging.

Minimised Seams & Reinforcement -  With a single seam located at the sides of the Gi, this model eliminates both unnecessary bulky reinforcements and bumpy seams at the back and shoulder, improving comfort during Ukemi and general use.

Reinforced Trousers – The 9oz Zen cotton trousers feature a drawstring waist with a double layer of fabric at the shin and knee, adding protection from friction during kneeling training and increasing longevity.

Shrink to Fit Sizing – Minimal shrinkage of 3~5% is taken account for in the initial cut and our sizing chart.
