Shinkawa Iaito - Ajiro

The Ajiro Iaito from Shinkawa is an exceptional mid-tier Iaido sword for practitioners starting out on their training path or those looking for a professional quality training tool at an affordable price point.

Made in Japan by an expert team of Iaido professionals, these pieces are hand built and finished to the high standard we have some to expect from the Shinkawa range.  

These Iaido practice swords feature a light-weight zinc-aluminium alloy blade with a refined aesthetic style Suguha Hamon.  Nine Circles holds stock of these Iaito in lengths from 2.30 to 2.45 shaku. These models feature tight brown cotton Tsuka Ito, fitted over black Samegawa, and bound in the classic Hinerimaki style.
The hilt fittings reflect the spirit of the Ajiro model: Antiqued silver alloy Fuchi, Kashira, and Menuki, with a Bamboo-theme throughout evoking flexibility, strength, resilience, and vitality. The sleek black Ishime (matt) Saya completes the elegant aesthetic.

As each sword is hand finished in Japan each piece will retain a unique identity. Weights and precise balance points will vary depending on length and individual piece but are guaranteed to fall within a range perfect for Iaido practice.
